Post treatment care back home

  • Keep the treated area dry and protected for 2 to 3 days. No water beam (shower) should be oriented to the treated area.
  • After washing it, dry the treated area with a clean paper towel.
  • Keep the skin around the treated area clean.
  • Let air come to the treated area as soon as possible. This way the scab with tattoo ink can fall off sooner.
  • Do not wear tight, scrubbing clothes on the treated area, in order to minimize scrubs and not to injure the scab.
  • Do not unnecessarily touch or screech the area, in order not to impede the healing process of the scab.
  • The scab/eschar shall in no case be removed.
  • After the scab falls off, intense sun light should be avoided. The use of sun cremes could in rare cases lead to appearance of allergies.
  • Between treatments the skin can look normal after the scab falls off. Yet, we recommend a break of at least 6 to 8 weeks between treatments, in order to facilitate a sufficient recovery of the skin. Strong reddening of the treated areas is normal and shall disappear in a few months
  • After the last treatment it can last up to 6 months, in exceptional cases even longer, until the skin reaches its normal condition.
  • Should you have questions or in the case of irritations, pain or problems, please contact us or your doctor immediately.
  • The scab has the role to cover the skin and impede bacteria (pus) or fungus spores to settle in the still open skin. This is why the wound should be kept dry at first. After the scab falls off (skin is closed) ointment and humidity help the skin to regenerate.
